About the Role
PGG Wrightson Seeds New Zealand is part of the global DLF Group. Our activities cover all aspects of the seed market from R&D through to product supply and technical on-farm support.
Part time 20 hours Fixed Term 12 months
Join our Massey based Research & Development team as an Agronomy Technician and play a vital role supporting our Plant Breeding and Product Evaluation teams. Youll assist with a range of tasks essential to delivering our R&D objectives working in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the establishment maintenance and monitoring of field trials.
- Accurately collect record and manage experimental data in both field and laboratory settings.
- Support seed preparation sowing and harvesting activities.
- Perform general trial site maintenance including weeding mowing and irrigation setup.
- Carry out sample processing and basic laboratory tasks.
- Maintain accurate records and follow protocols with a high level of consistency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in agronomy plant science or a related field.
- High attention to detail; reliable and methodical in approach to routine or repetitive tasks.
- Physically capable of outdoor work in variable conditions.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks as required.
- Restricted or Full NZ drivers licence.
