Founding Backend Engineer

Full-time Hybrid

Compensation: $100K $150K 510% Equity

About the Role

Were looking for a Founding Backend Engineer to architect and build the core infrastructure for AI-powered consumer products. Youll design systems that take data from users devices process it with AI models and deliver personalized intelligent experiences.

This is a zero-to-one role where youll work closely with the founder and early team to define technical strategy make architectural decisions and build scalable systems. If you thrive in small teams enjoy solving complex end-to-end problems and want significant ownership in shaping both product and company direction this role is for you.

Tech stack: iOS Swift Apple Vision CoreML backend generalist LLMs photo/video processing mobile-first systems

What Youll Do

Architect backend systems for mobile-first consumer AI products
Build distributed systems and infrastructure to scale data processing and model serving
Collaborate closely with the founder on technical strategy and product direction
Experiment rapidly in a fast-paced creative zero-to-one environment
Play a foundational role in setting engineering culture standards and practices

What Were Looking For

Strong experience in backend development for consumer products
Comfort with mobile-first infrastructure distributed systems and cloud environments
Track record of shipping products in small teams or startups
Entrepreneurial mindset side projects experiments or previous founding experience a plus
Excitement about building products that blend AI media and consumer experience
