Work hours: Full-time 40 hours weeklyMonday thru Thursday 7:30am 5:00pm & Friday 7:30am 12:00pm
Travel: 25% to Alliance and Denton clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)

Heres What You Need
LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire (required)
Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required)
1 year LVN experience (preferred)
ACLS or BCLS (required upon hire)
Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology equipment and supplies
Knowledge of state law on nursing care nurse practice guidelines and clinic policies and procedures
Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
Demonstrate sound judgment and composure
Ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
Maintain a positive caring attitude towards staff and patients
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
Efficient time management skills
Additional skills:
Schedule and manage patient appointments diagnostic tests procedures surgeries and follow-ups
Coordinate referrals pre-authorizations and insurance verifications
Ensure all pre-surgical requirements are met including labs imaging equipment and medication arrangements
Facilitate tumor board case presentations and communicate outcomes to care teams and patients
Support clinical research efforts through data tracking patient enrollment and coordination
Educate patients and families on diagnoses procedures care plans and available resources
Provide emotional support and connect patients with psychosocial financial and community services
Serve as the central point of contact for patients families referring physicians and care teams
Communicate test results and care plans via phone or mail as directed by providers
Resolve patient concerns using problem-solving techniques and escalate issues when necessary
Provide interpretation services (ASL verbal written) and coordinate with credentialed interpreters
Maintain communication with referring physicians and collaborate on care planning
Act as liaison between patients donors families and healthcare team members
Coordinate comprehensive care with financial coordinators social workers dietitians and other specialists
Provide substantive feedback during multidisciplinary team discussions
Contribute to staff education and serve as a resource for nurses and clinical staff
Provide in-service training on international patient protocols and coordinate campus tours
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the LVN Process
Triage patient calls and communicates with the provider
Utilizes the nursing process to assess plan implement and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families.
Performs specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of cardiology.
Collects patient data such as vital signs notes how the patient looks and acts or responds to stimuli and reports this information accordingly.
Prepares patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
Administers certain prescribed medications and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
Performs other duties as assigned.
