Job Summary: The Dodge Industrial Data Analytics Engineer designs implements and maintains systems used to collect and analyze business intelligence data. Uses both strategic and analytical frameworks to create dashboards databases and other platforms that allow for efficient collection and evaluation of business intelligence data for internal stakeholders. They work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand BI goals and objectives to ensure the systems and their capabilities support competitive research efforts that achieve those goals. The Data Analytics Engineer is a forward-thinking problem solver who can lead the organization in building a modern data reporting platform that will support data science and business intelligence initiatives for years to come.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection & Cleaning

Gather data from various sources (including but not limited to) S/4 HANA databases spreadsheets and APIs.
Ensure data accuracy consistency and completeness through rigorous cleaning and validation processes.
Design build and maintain scalable data pipelines from SAP S/4 HANA to SAP Datasphere.
Create and maintain API integrations utilizing MuleSoft to extract data from various enterprise systems as well as transfer data between them.

2. Data Modeling

Develop and optimize SQL queries stored procedures and other various Datasphere objects to transform and model data.
Transform raw operational data into well-structured documented analytics models that utilize best practices for efficiency.
Models should be well documented and easy to consume by both lower-level developers and business stakeholders.

3. Data Analysis & Exploration

Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns trends and anomalies.
Utilize statistical methods machine learning and data visualization techniques to analyze data and derive meaningful insights.
Develop and implement data models to support business objectives.

4. Reporting & Insights

Develop and distribute regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis findings.
Support data-driven decision-making by presenting findings clearly and concisely.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Statistics Mathematics Computer Science or a related field.
Strong SQL Skills.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power BI reporting with proficiency In DAX and Power Query (M).
Experience pulling data from ERP systems (SAP S4 HANA preferred).
ETL/ELT pipeline management.
Strong Python programming language skills.
Cloud Infrastructure - Azure (Preferred) AWS GCP.
Data Warehousing - Datasphere (Preferred) Snowflake Synapse Redshift.
Data Integration and API Development (MuleSoft preferred).
Microsoft Ecosystem Experience Strongly Preferred.
Database Administration.
Change Management (Azure DevOps Git CD/CI).
Machine Learning and AI experience preferred.
REST API Knowledge.

Essential Job Functions:

Design and implement comprehensive data collection systems and analytics processes.
Develop and maintain complex relational databases ensuring data integrity efficiency and security.
Create and optimize SQL queries for large-scale data extraction and manipulation.
In-person collaboration.
Implement data quality controls and perform regular audits to maintain high data standards.
Ability to understand business requirements and transfer that knowledge to create effective data models and reports using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI.
Ability to organize and lead the implementation of secure sustainable and maintainable data models and pipelines that enable data consumption across all organization functions.
Ability to effectively communicate with teams across all functions to understand business data needs and required transformations to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
Extraction loading and transformation of information from SAP S4 HANA to Datasphere primarily using (but not limited to) CDS Views SQL and Python.
A wide range of production database experience usually including substantial SQL expertise database administration and scripting data pipelines.
No full-time remote available. Position resides at Dodge Industrial headquarters in Simpsonville SC.
Must have work authorization that permits working for Dodge Industrial in the US.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
