Main Responsibilities
- Own daily and weekly bank and credit card reconciliations ensuring timely posting and organization of all supporting documentation.
- Proactively follow up on missing receipts and credit card backup to ensure complete and audit-ready records.
- Prepare standard journal entries such as credit card accruals and prepaid amortization.
- Maintain accrual schedules and assist with balance sheet reconciliations during month-end close.
- Support the month-end close process by gathering backup assisting with reconciliations and ensuring clean and timely posting of entries.
- Provide overflow support to AP and AR functions as needed.
- Match and reconcile daily sales deposits from various channels to ensure accurate recording and alignment between payment processors and accounting systems.
- Prepare and distribute daily expense reports by department to leadership helping drive real-time visibility and faster financial decision-making.
- Assist with audit preparation and internal documentation upkeep supporting GAAP compliance and internal controls.
Candidate Requirements:
- Pursuing or completed a degree in accounting finance or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 1 years of accounting experience including reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Excel and comfortable working with multiple systems.
- Understanding of GAAP principles including accruals prepaids and account reconciliation.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high volumes of data with strong attention to detail accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent organization time management and multitasking skillsable to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
- Bonus: experience in CPG inventory-accounting exposure or accounting systems.
