Our client a nationally recognised law firm with a highly rated Construction and Engineering practice is seeking an ambitious non-contentious Construction lawyer to join their growing team. About the Role

As a Construction Associate youll become part of a wider national and international team of more than 100 specialist lawyers including 24 Partners offering a full service of legal solutions to all aspects of the construction industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on non-contentious construction matters across various sectors including:
    • Buildings and residential accommodation
    • Living accommodation
    • Civil and process plant engineering
    • Energy projects
    • Infrastructure
    • Transport
    • Utilities
  • Working across both private and public sector projects
  • Providing project support and advice to wider Real Estate Banking and Projects teams
  • Drafting and negotiating construction contracts and documentation
  • Managing complex construction transactions
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas and industry groups
  • Contributing to business development efforts
  • Engaging in continuous professional development

This role offers excellent variety working on hugely varied construction projects with genuine autonomy and support from an experienced team of experts.

What Were Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in construction law
  • Strong experience in non-contentious construction matters
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality legal advice
  • Excellent technical analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Ambitious approach with desire to develop expertise
  • Strong attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience across multiple construction sectors
  • Knowledge of energy and infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of public sector procurement
  • Track record of business development
  • Additional construction-related qualifications
