About the Role
St. Charles Automotive is expanding our Mobile Service team and looking for a motivated technician that is ready to take their career to the next level. Unlike a traditional shop role this position is 100% field-based. Youll operate a fully equipped service van performing light maintenance and repairs directly at customer homes businesses and fleet locations. Its the perfect fit for someone who values independence variety and direct customer interaction - with the backing of a respected family-owned dealer group.
Whether youre just starting in the industry or an experienced technician we provide paid training certification opportunities and clear growth paths from Mobile Service Tech to Senior Master Technician.
What Youll Do
Spend most of your workday on the road providing maintenance and repairs in a mobile service van.
Perform a wide range of services: oil changes tire rotations filters batteries recalls and software updates.
Operate and maintain a fully stocked and organized mobile service unit.
Deliver a great customer experience by being professional thorough and proactive in explaining work performed.
Accurately document repair orders follow MPI/VCU processes and identify additional service opportunities and present them to customers.
Partner with the Mobile Service Coordinator and Service Advisors to schedule jobs order parts and ensure timely completion.
Uphold dealership safety standards and represent the St. Charles Automotive brand in the field.

What Were Looking For
Previous automotive technician experience (1-3 years preferred).
Positive attitude professional appearance and customer-first mindset.
Strong diagnostic mechanical and electrical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Comfortable using digital tools for documentation and diagnostics.
Must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Willing to complete pre-employment background and drug screening.
ASE certifications are a plus - and well help you earn them.
