Job Summary
Barnard Academy part of the Mountain Views School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Interventionist / Classroom Teacher to join our team. This position is a temporary role to cover a leave of absence.
Barnard Academy is a small close-knit Preschool6th grade school with 65 students. Our staff and community take pride in maintaining a warm supportive environment where every child is known valued and encouraged to thrive. We are seeking an educator who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and is eager to make a positive impact in the lives of our students.
Position Overview
This unique role is split between classroom teaching and student support:
0.5 FTE Classroom Math Teacher Teach mathematics to 2nd and 3rd grade students. Knowledge of additive and multiplicative reasoning is preferred.
0.5 FTE Interventionist Provide math and literacy intervention in one-on-one and small group settings for students across K6.
Qualifications
Required: Vermont Elementary Level Teaching License (or eligibility)
Preferred: Experience in math and literacy instruction intervention strategies and working with elementary-aged students
Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills
Commitment to fostering a positive inclusive and engaging learning environment
Schedule & Hours
April 1 2026 to September 15 2026 (approx. 14 weeks total - off for summer break)
MondayFriday 7:35 AM 3:05 PM
