Full Stack Developer

T-Rex Solutions is looking to select a Full Stack Developer to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) EDOS program. The overall mission of this program is to modernize the IRS legacy Tax processing systems and is critical to the overall modernization of the IRS to improve taxpayer experience increase voluntary compliance and reduce the IRSs reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology. This individual will buildhigh-performing scalable enterprise-grade applications using modern Java and React technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the full software development lifecycle from concept and design to testing and deployment. As part of a talented software team youll work on mission-critical applications and contribute to a fast-paced collaborative and agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop and test custom software solutions across multiple system components.
• Write well-designed efficient and testable code in line with programming standards and interface specifications.
• Collaborate with development teams and product managers to define and ideate software solutions.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle and ensure designs comply with requirements
• Troubleshoot debug and upgrade software as well as support the installation of application releases into production.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including daily scrums to identify and address roadblocks and issues.

Requirements:

• US Citizenship required
• Must be able to pass an IRS public trust investigation
• 2 years of overall experience preferred in software development.
• A Bachelors Degree in progress. More experience may be needed if requirement is not met
• Java Back-End: Strong proficiency in Java including a solid understanding of Java design patterns.
• Spring Framework: Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot Spring MVC and Spring Data JPA.
• React Front-End: Strong programming knowledge of JavaScript TypeScript and ReactJS.
• Web Fundamentals: Experience translating graphic designs into responsive user interfaces using HTML and CSS.
• API development:Experience building APIs that enable communication between the front and back ends (knowledge in documentation with Swagger is a plus).
• Server-Side and Cloud: Experience server-side technologies (Java Python etc.) and cloud services (AWS) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes EKS OpenShift)
• DevOps: Well-versed in managing application development with DevOps tools like Jenkins SonarQube AppScan Nexus IQ GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Agile: Experience working on an Agile team and a strong understanding of agile methodologies.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with ICCE and eServices preferred
• Current IRS clearance desired

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines the annual base salary range for this position is $127000 - $147000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
