oManages complex payroll preparation for inpatient nursing units to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
oTranscribes written unit schedule/pay notes into UKG Schedule Planner for both professional exempt and non-exempt employees.
oVisits units daily
oProvided with laptops to optimize mobile model
oMonitors and reviews timecards for accurate time reporting
oRuns reports from UKG to review payroll accuracy and identify potential pay issues
oFollows-up with unit manager with questions
oTroubleshoots incorrect pay asks and reconciles errors with historical corrections
oMay include running unit-based staffing reports
oPerforms scheduling and payroll audits which may include standard hours being met with flexible scheduling special weekend program commitment compliance correct data entry for unit role job transfers use of labor categories work rule and correct use of pay codes.
oReviews employee timecards to ensure correct pay which may include standard hours being paid missed punch resolution pay codes added according to MGB HR policy.
Assists to resolve employee payroll issues
Follows MGH HR and Payroll policies and monitors unit compliance
Rotating weekend shifts required

Essential Functions
-Updates scheduling and payroll system to accurately reflect unit activities and in accordance with payroll policies.
-Maintains timekeeping records and ensures compliance with hospital policies and relevant regulations.
-Works with unit leadership to review and resolve pay questions; troubleshoots incorrect pay and reconciles errors.
-Ensures proper application of payroll system functionality.
-Performs scheduling and payroll audits to ensure compliance with departmental policies.
-Prepares and submits timekeeping reports to management and finance departments.


Qualifications
