The Executive Council Office (ECO) supports the alignment of government priorities through objective analysis and advice to the Executive Council (Cabinet) and its committees. ECO supports Cabinet by facilitating the governments decision-making process providing clear direction to departments developing and advancing corporate priorities and plans and offering corporate leadership to agencies boards and commissions.
Reporting to the Senior Director Corporate Strategy the Senior Corporate Strategist is a key member of the Corporate Strategy and Priorities team whose mandate is to lead prioritize and drive initiatives that are focused on corporate strategy and key government priorities.
The Strategist acts as the primary liaison for Departments on relevant files and coordinates governments approach to developing and delivering strategic frameworks that fulfil Governments priorities.
You will provide expertise guidance and corporate leadership on matters that impact the economy labour infrastructure health and social opportunities. You will be a part of a team that provides evidence-based research policy analysis strategic planning monitoring and evaluation support for initiatives that are responsive to the changing needs of Nova Scotians and aligned with the overall strategic vision and priorities of government.
You possess a bachelors degree in a related field and several years of corporate strategy experience and/or project management experience. Professional experience within government or other large organizations would be considered an asset. An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be acceptable.

This role is based in a comfortable office environment and you may be working at your computer for extended periods of time. Occasional travel may be required so a valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation are necessary.
Your worksite will be in-office full-time.
Your normal work week is 35 hours/week 7 hours/day. This role does entail a high volume of work which may require longer than normal working hours and overtime. Due to the multiple spheres of action and scope of responsibilities that this position requires there is significant mental pressure requiring your resilience.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination standardized tests oral presentations interview(s) and reference checks.

Pay Grade: EC 12
Salary Range: $3760.89- $4701.11Bi-Weekly
