This is not a hybrid role it requires the successful candidate to be present in person in the workplace Monday to Friday 36 hours per week.

Were looking for a hands-on reliable Building Services Officer to support the day-to-day running of the Abbey Lane Childrens Centre. Youll be responsible for maintaining a safe clean and functional environment for staff and service users.

Key Duties Include:

• Opening/closing the building and managing access
• Fire alarm and compliance checks (weekly/monthly)
• Minor maintenance and repairs (e.g. lighting blockages)
• Routine building inspections and safety reporting
• Room setup and porterage duties
• Site cleaning hygiene and infection control
• Acting as First Aider and Fire Warden

About You:

• Facilities or caretaking experience
• Knowledge of Health & Safety standards
• Flexible practical and team-oriented
• Willing to work on-site full-time (no hybrid option)
• A clear enhanced DBS check is required
