Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary:The Academic Major Exploration Program Manager advises a unique student population. Assists student understanding of core and academic program requirements the academic calendar and general university procedure. Serving as liaison to colleges for updates for procedures curriculum etc. Manages Exploring 4 Success the universitys major exploration program for students undecided on their major.

Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree and four (4) years of academic advising or student success experience; OR masters degree and two (2) years of academic advising or student success experience.

Skills and Knowledge:Ability to work with various groups of people. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent public speaking skills. Computer skills to include word processing spreadsheet and/or database management. Good planning coordinating and organizing skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to display professionalism while representing the University to students parents and external audiences. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures. Ability to manage professional and student staff.

Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree in higher education or related College Student Personnel Services Guidance and Counseling or related field. Project development and management experience. Experience working across departments or divisions. Experience managing professional and student staff. Experience with Banner applications and reporting. Experience planning coordinating and executing large events for students parents and campus partners. Experience in admission academic and graduation procedures. Experience with degree audits and transcript interpretation.
