Job Summary
Clean Harbors in Guelph ON is seeking an Equipment Operator/Driver (Class DZ licensed) to join their team! This role is responsible to drive/operate to and from worksites performing pre / post Trip inspections and performing roadside repairs. This role is also labor intensive that includes tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up site-remediation equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. Working in confined spaces for Tank and Vessel cleaning.

Responsibilities
- Operate and drive various equipment primarily; Wet Vac Dry Vac and Steam Trucks to and from work sites.
- Tank and Vessel Cleaning.
- All tasks are associated with hazardous waste clean-up.
- Individually maneuvering large hoses.
- Perform Pre / Post Trip inspections
- Performs emergency response and regularly scheduled activities including but not limited to chemical and water spills etiological and biological contamination tank cleaning equipment decontamination etc.
- Ensure proper use of equipment and immediately notify supervisor of any mechanical failure or problem of equipment.
- Operates light and heavy equipment including but not limited to pumps vacuum equipment oil spill boom generators bobcats etc.; Handles various hand tools and powered (pneumatic and electrical hydraulic) industrial tools including pressure washers and saws.
- Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications
- Willing to travel and work on a scheduled and unscheduled basis.
- DZ License required.
- Previous experience operating wet/dry vacuum combo steamer and/or Hydrovac.
- Ability to drive manual transmission required.
- Previous industrial experience is required.
- Safety Tickets (First Aid/CPR H2S Alive CSTS etc.) are an asset.
