Job Summary

Job Title: Mainframe System Automation Administrator (z/OS)

Location: Plano Texas Phoenix AZ Jersey City NJ Charlotte NC or Richmond VA
Type: 18 month contract

Profile Types We Are Searching For:

Mainframe System Administrators with strong automation background
System Programmers experienced with z/OS automation REXX and NetView
Candidates with career progression in mainframe infrastructure/operations moving into automation support

Project Details:

Engagement: Ongoing need with a focus on mainframe automation and modernization
Goal: Support and enhance IBM System Automation for z/OS and related toolsets (NetView GDPS-CA)
Tech Stack: z/OS REXX NetView System Automation for z/OS GDPS-CA JCL TSO ISPF
Responsibilities:
- Configure maintain and support IBM System Automation for z/OS
- Support automation processes programming and policy database
- Work with IBM NetView (System Automation runs on top of NetView)
- Develop and enhance automation using REXX programming
- Create and maintain documentation
- Partner with operations teams to ensure automation reliability and efficiency

Must Haves

Deep REXX programming experience
NetView and IBM System Automation for z/OS expertise
7 years of mainframe experience with z/OS JCL TSO ISPF
Strong background in mainframe operations and system administration

Nice to Have:

Exposure to modernization projects involving mainframe automation
Industry experience in financial services or other large-scale enterprise environments
Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills
