Job Summary
Wastewater Department Head
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the NJ Water Wastewater department fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous improvement
- Oversee all NJ Water Wastewater projects from inception to completion ensuring they are delivered on time within budget and to the highest quality standards including coordination with other NJ regional offices and disciplines
- Serve as the primary technical authority for Water Wastewater systems in NJ offering guidance and expertise to ensure optimal design and functionality. Coordinate with other NJ Regional offices on standards changing NJ legislation and funding that may impact NJ clients
- Manage NJ departmental resources effectively including staffing budgeting and scheduling to meet project demands and organizational goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with NJ clients understand their needs addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with Water Wastewater solutions
- Mentor and develop Water Wastewater team members promoting professional growth and ensuring the team remains current with industry advancements
Requirements:
- PE License is required
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field)
- 10 years of experience in Water Wastewater design engineering and project management with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in pursuing leads and obtaining new work/clients
- Solid understanding of water/wastewater NJ codes standards and regulations
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex engineering programs
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
