We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Commercial Lender for United Bank of Michigan. United Bank is searching for driven individuals who are focused on building relationships with our customers by meeting their financial objectives. Whether you have several years of experience or are new to the banking industry we would love to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
The Commercial Lender position is a fundamental position at United Bank. This position requires a highly motivated and results-driven candidate. Responsible for generating new commercial loan relationships and expanding our presence in the market as well as actively prospecting building a robust sales pipeline and closing new business. Actively contribute to the overall growth and profitability of our commercial lending portfolio. Collects and analyzes financial and related data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan requests. Establishes and negotiates where necessary terms and conditions which credit will be granted including the costs repayment method and schedule and collateral requirements. Monitors loan repayment activities and takes necessary action to collect from past-due accounts. Must have transportation to meet with clients on or off site. Responsible for areas of compliance as it relates to Commercial Lending. Undertakes special projects relating to departmental services as assigned.
This position requires:
- Bachelors degree
- 2 or more years experience and/or training or combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
- High level of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information;
- Utilizing hands & arms;
- Ability to talk & hear;
- Ability to have close vision of 20 inches or less.
