THE ROLE

Based in Geelong this role is responsible for various electrical engineering services across a variety of sectors which can include recreational urban health education and commercial. Your day to day will typically include:

Delivering advanced technical solutions with high-quality engineering design documentation including drawings specifications and reports
Providing technical guidance to the electrical engineering services team ensuring best practice standards and innovative approaches are applied.
Leading and contributing to proposals and bids demonstrating commercial awareness and the ability to translate technical expertise into winning solutions.
Creation and review of technical reports that support project decision-making and client confidence.
Collaborating across our nationally dispersed offices offering expert electrical engineering support on multidisciplinary projects.
Mentoring and developing junior engineers fostering a culture of learning capability growth and professional excellence.
Driving business development initiatives building strong client relationships and contributing to our exciting growth

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

As a key member of our Electrical team you will play an integral role in the continued growth of our national consultancy. To succeed in this role you will bring:

Extensive experience in electrical engineering ideally within building services (7 years is ideal)
In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards and the NCC
Proven capability in the technical design of building services including design documentation specifications reports calculations drawings cost estimation and project schedules
Proficiency in industry software such as PowerCAD and AGI/DIALux (or equivalent)
Collaborative and independent working skills with the ability to contribute within a national multidisciplinary team
Strong stakeholder engagement with confidence in communicating effectively with clients consultants and project partners.
Flexibility and mobility to work on short-term assignments in remote and regional locations when required
A continuous improvement mindset bringing fresh ideas to enhance electrical processes and systems
Practical problem-solving skills applying a common-sense and informed approach to technical and relationship challenges
High-level communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to motivate and influence others
A team-oriented approach with the drive to contribute to a supportive high-performing culture

The following skills attributes will be highly regarded:

CPEng or other similar qualification
State based engineering registration
Experience in the Victorian market
Experience in electrical high voltage primary and secondary systems design
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
