About the role
A Rare Disease Patient Program Liaison provides a solid understanding of the companys medical strategy patient support program implementation and UCB priorities. It is the patients voice within the organization as part of the medical team maintains an objective and clear perspective that complies with a deep knowledge of rare disease patient journey and objective medical treatment information. This role is giving voice to the patients within UCB and delivering value on the outcomes experience and access creating a robust partnership to boost the overall well-being and treatment outcomes of individuals living with rare diseases.

Key External Stakeholders to discuss scientific information aligned with the medical strategy that can impact patients caregivers or companions to elevate local initiatives focused on the patient journey and UCB therapies lifecycle.

What youll do
- Oversees activities integrating the medical affairs perspective towards the creation and maintenance of a high value patient support program for Rare Disease patients aligned with the medical strategy.
- Strong collaboration with to ensure training of Families & HCPs on the risk management plan (RMP) support to the Patient Support Program (PSP) implementation in collaboration with medical operations development of materials to promote adherence and timely reporting of safety events.
- Develop a training strategy for families and HCPs on the administration of treatment and medical devices as needed.
- In-field visits with key customers PAGs and KOLs to oversee the PSP implementations and progress and take feedback for future initiatives.
- Comply with UCBs values processes and policy making sure the proper documentation is in order among internal and external stakeholders participating in the program implementation.
- Collaborate in the PSP periodic report analysis and dissemination of insights to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Identify unmet needs of patients and their caregivers related to their medical condition to identify opportunities for improving their quality of life through UCBs initiatives as part of the medical strategy and in partnership with the GAPA Manager.
- Handle and communicate issues related to PE/PO implementation to ensure transparency compliance and best practices.
- Collect and convey patient input in key projects following the PE process to ensure that their insights are considered in project objectives in partnership with the GAPA Manager.
- Manage interactions with external direct-to-patient agencies that assist UCB in maintaining relationships with patients ensuring thorough follow-up on activities (e.g. PSP enrolment process).
- Conduct face-to-face visits if requested including home visits visits to doctors offices or other locations where patients feel comfortable during enrolment and/or follow-up following the current strategy.
- Provide patients through the PSP with educational materials resources and explanations to help them better understand their condition treatment plans and self-care strategies.
Interested For this role were looking for the following education experience and skills
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience directly interacting with patients
- If eligible internally must have a performance rating of meets objectives and behaviors or better on two most recent performance reviews.
- Strong analytical skills and data management
- Ideal expertise in program management
