Job Summary

Overview:
Our South Atlanta facility is hiring a skilled Pre-Operative Nurse to prepare patients for outpatient procedures. This is a contract position working every other Saturday.

Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-operative assessments and obtain medical histories.

Prepare patients physically and emotionally for procedures.

Start IVs and administer pre-operative medications as ordered.

Communicate with patients and families regarding pre-op instructions.

Assist in maintaining a sterile environment.

Qualifications:

Active Georgia RN license.

Experience in a pre-operative or ambulatory surgical setting preferred.

Proficient IV insertion and patient preparation skills.

BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Strong organizational and patient-care skills.

Schedule: Every other Saturday 6:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. (may go as late as 1:00 p.m.).

Pay: $45/hour (contract).
