Summary
The Registered Dietitian will work in conjunction with the UCCS Recreation and Wellness Center team which offers highly advance integrated multi-disciplinary approach with clinical psychologist licensed professional counselors licensed clinical social works nurse practitioners wellness promotion professionals and campus recreation staff. The Registered Dietitian will conduct individual nutritional counseling sessions for UCCS students. The person in this position may be asked to give educational presentations when requested and assist nutrition and wellness promotion students in coordinating cooking classes and demonstrations for students.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Provide individual nutrition counseling sessions for UCCS students. (60%)
Conduct research and chart review in preparation for individual counseling sessions and complete chart documentation and needed referrals for students seen during sessions. (10%)
Work closely with counseling and medical providers to provide integrated care for students being seen for multiple services. (10%)
Mentor graduate nutrition students as a preceptor for their practicum and service learning hours. (10%)
Provide nutritional insight and support to Wellness Promotion team and campus partners such as Clydes Cupboard Campus Recreation programs and Dining and Hospitality Services. (10%)
