Testing & Analytical Manager
Location: Witney Oxfordshire
Abbott Diabetes Care designs develops and manufactures cutting-edge glucose monitoring technology for use in both home and hospital settings including our revolutionary FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System.
At our Centre of Excellence in Witney we develop and produce test strips and biosensors that support the day-to-day management of diabetes for patients and healthcare professionals worldwide.
Due to continued growth and innovation in our biosensor business we have an exciting opportunity for a Testing & Analytical Manager to join our Operations Technical team.
The Role
This is a leadership position responsible for managing the Testing and Analytical team which plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and continuity of supply for our Blood Glucose Monitoring Strips and Libre Biosensors. You will oversee all testing activities and the in-house production of essential consumables used in sensor manufacturing supporting both strategic and operational goals.
The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Operations Engineering R&D and Quality and contributes to the introduction of new test methods and processes from R&D into manufacturing. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA and ISO while driving improvements in product quality yield and process efficiency.
About You
You will be degree-qualified in a technical discipline and bring substantial experience from the medical or pharmaceutical industry particularly in manufacturing and testing environments. A solid understanding of GMP ISO and safety regulations is essential.
Youll be a confident and capable leader with experience in managing and developing teams. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key along with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
