As a Mortgage Quality Control Analyst within JPMorgan Private Banking you will support the mortgage business by reviewing loan documents analyzing credit risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. You will collaborate with internal teams to resolve exceptions prioritize reviews to meet closing deadlines and maintain high standards of accuracy and process control. Your expertise in mortgage concepts and regulations along with strong analytical and communication skills will be critical in protecting the bank from financial and reputational risks while promoting process improvements and effective stakeholder engagement.
Job responsibilities:
- Review and enter loan information into the loan system per current guidelines.
- Collaborate with Mortgage production and internal teams to resolve exceptions.
- Identify credit risks and deviations from Production QC guidelines.
- Prioritize reviews to meet Closing date timelines.
- Apply expertise in mortgage concepts and US Mortgage Regulations.
- Understand all stages of the mortgage origination life cycle.
- Analyze documents such as Title Insurance and Appraisal.
- Manage production work allocation prioritization and exception handling.
- Consistently meet daily production and turnaround targets.
- Maintain process accuracy with less than 5% high QA error rate.
- Escalate issues exceptions and procedure gaps to management.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail quick grasping and retention of Mortgage concepts
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Time Management skills flexibility & adaptability to changes
- Collaboration and teamwork
- Willingness to work in US ASIA & EMEA shifts
- Exception Handling & Subject Matter Expertise challenges status quo
