The OpCenter Engineer will play a key technical role in implementation configuration and support of Siemens OpCenter as part of our Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) program for the new Toyota battery plant. The ideal candidate is a hands-on MES engineer with a strong background in Siemens OpCenter and an understanding of high-volume manufacturing environments.

Reporting to the Siemens MOM Product Owner the person in this role will support the Manufacturing Tech Servicesdepartment to design develop configure and optimize OpCenter and support manufacturing quality and logistics.

What youll be doing

Business Engagement & Requirements Gathering

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with quality operations leaders and subject matter experts.

• Facilitate workshops interviews and process mapping sessions to capture current and future state workflows.

• Document detailed business requirements use cases and functional specifications for OpCenter quality modules.

Solution Alignment

• Collaborate with developers testers and solution architects to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.

• Validate that OpCenter configurations meet documented business needs through functional reviews and UAT support.

• Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize quality processes using MES capabilities.

Change & Communication Support

• Assist in developing training materials SOPs and user guides related to quality processes in OpCenter.

• Communicate system changes enhancements and impacts to quality operations teams.

Program & Project Support

• Participate in agile ceremonies including backlog refinement sprint planning and demos to represent the quality business perspective.

• Maintain requirements traceability and manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support testing by reviewing test cases and validating that quality workflows function as intended.

What you bring

• Bachelors degree in engineering Quality Management Information Systems or related field.

• 5 years of business analysis experience with at least 3 years in manufacturing or quality systems.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing quality processes including defect tracking non-conformance management and SPC (Statistical Process Control).

• Experience documenting business processes and functional requirements for enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with MES/MOM platforms (Siemens OpCenter preferred).

Added bonus if you have

• Automotive or battery manufacturing industry experience.

• Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement background.

• Experience with Jira Azure DevOps or similar requirements management tools.

• Strong communication and facilitation skills

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail

• Ability to translate business needs into clear actionable requirements

• Collaborative approach to working with technical and business teams

• Understanding of quality compliance and regulatory requirements
