Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership Own QA vision and strategy across multiple products and platforms and services. Define and execute the QA strategy for the Ontic Platforms team aligning quality objectives with product and organisational goals.
Quality Governance Establish and monitor quality KPIs (defect leakage automation coverage release readiness etc.) to ensure visibility accountability and continuous improvement into quality health test coverage defect trends release readiness and team velocity.
Automation-First Approach Drive automation adoption across UI API data and performance layers embedding tests into CI/CD pipelines for faster high-quality releases.
SaaS & Cloud Testing Excellence Ensure reliability scalability and security of SaaS-based features Drive cloud migration quality programs and AI-based solution validation with a focus on data accuracy model explainability and system performance.
People & Team Management Lead mentor and grow QA engineers and managers fostering a collaborative and quality-driven engineering culture creating clear career growth paths and coaching plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Product Engineering and DevOps to influence design architecture and release planning with a focus on end-to-end quality.
Innovation & Efficiency Champion the adoption of modern testing tools frameworks and best practices that improve coverage speed and developer productivity.
Lead performance security and chaos testing initiatives across distributed microservice-based systems.
Own vendor assessments tool evaluations and PoCs for test automation and AI/ML testing too
Preferred Qualifications:
13 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering with at least 4 years in leadership roles (managing managers or senior engineers).
Strong background in SaaS and cloud-native platforms with experience in microservices & containerised environments.
Proven expertise in automation frameworks and tools (Selenium Cypress Playwright REST
Assured JMeter Postman TestNG etc.) and scripting (Java Python or JavaScript).
Experience defining and driving QA strategy in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI).
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools to enhance quality insights.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate quality outcomes at executive and technical levels.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Guide junior engineers on test automation agile QA processes and instill a quality-first
engineering culture.
