Based in Elk River MN JonnyPops develops manufactures distributes and markets frozen novelties. Retailers from coast to coast including Target Costco Publix Kroger Cub along with thousands of regional and local grocers make JonnyPops part of their assortment.

Job Summary

The Maintenance and Reliability Manager will have the overall responsibility for overseeing and managing all aspects of the maintenance and engineering functions within JonnyPops. This position requires a combination of technical expertise strategic vision and effective leadership to ensure the optimal performance reliability and safety of physical assets and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance and engineering strategy aligned with the organization.

• Collaborate with the ELT (Executive Leadership Team) to establish long-term plans for facility and equipment improvements.

• Recruit train and lead a high-performing team of maintenance and engineering professionals.

• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture promotion continuous learning and development.

• Directs team to manage all aspects of production line equipment to include packaging equipment wrappers conveyors.

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all physical assets including machinery equipment and facilities.

• Develop and manage the maintenance and engineering department budget and lead the capital project team.

• Identify cost- saving opportunities and implement efficient resource allocation strategies.

• Lead and coordinate engineering projects from conception to completion ensuring timely delivery within budget.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance and engineering operations.

• Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance maintenance and engineering processes.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to maintain a competitive edge.

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of all production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

• Implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the maintenance and engineering operation.

• Ensure equipment integrity and reliability

Food Safety Responsibilities

• Lead and support food safety culture among maintenance personnel.

• Coordinate with FSQA to ensure that repair and maintenance activities do not compromise food safety and quality.

• Maintain a register of required PMs and temporary repairs to ensure these are completed on schedule.

• Follow systemwide GMPs required of all personnel at JonnyPops.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand sit walk use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; talk and hear and reach with hands or arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs. Works comfortably in a variable temperature environment. While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works on a manufacturing plant floor.

Work Environment:

• Primarily on-site within a food manufacturing facility.

• May require occasional travel for external training or meetings.

• Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to noise machinery and temperature variations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Facility Management or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus.

• Proven experience in a leadership role within maintenance and engineering preferably in a complex industrial or ice cream manufacturing environment.

• Sound financial acumen and budget management skills.

• Must be a highly organized self-motivated person who can work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.

• Technical abilities include knowledge of trouble shooting with in areas of mechanical electrical electronics hydraulics pneumatics and fabrication.

• Must be familiar with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and QC standards required in a food manufacturing environment.

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Adaptable resilient flexible fast-paced/sense of urgency.

Pay Range: $120000-$135000
