The successful candidate will be employed in the HSE. The initial assignment will be to the Athlone Injury Unit Clonbrusk Primary Care Centre Athlone Co. Westmeath under the governance of the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore. The candidate may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity including the Midland Regional Hospital as the service need arises.

There may be a requirement to rotate through the Radiology Department Arden Road Tullamore on occasions as required by your RSMs.

Purpose of the Post

This allocation to support the opening of an Injury Unit in Athlone will provide increased capacity for patients with injuries and reduce dependence on the Emergency Departments within the Region for this cohort of patient specifically Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications and/ or experience

1. Statutory Registration Professional Qualifications Experience etc.

(a) Candidates for appointment must:

(i) Be registered or be eligible for registration on the Radiography Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU.

AND

(ii) Have 3 years fulltime (or an aggregate of 3 years) post qualification clinical

Experience.

AND

(iii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of

suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

AND

(iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Radiography Division of the

Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.

Post Specific Requirements

Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in General Radiography as relevant to the role

Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience of working with multidisciplinary teams at clinic and administrative level

Required Experience:

Senior IC
