Located in Copenhagen Denmark Biosyntia is a thriving biotech start-up with a team of 18 people dedicated to delivering sustainable precision fermentation processes for natural ingredients. With the support of international investors we work together to create a global success and a more sustainable world through biomanufacturing. We are looking for a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to join our analytics team who is passionate about Analytical Chemistry and who wants a position with professional challenges and long-term personal development. You will primarily work at our laboratories in Østerbro where you will be mentored by a highly skilled team of analytical chemists.

Responsibilities and tasks

The successful candidate will work in coordination with the analytical team in the following areas.

Main tasks:

• Assist with the preparation and analysis of samples and reference standards using a range of analytical techniques such as chromatography spectroscopy and microscopy.
• Perform routine maintenance calibration and basic troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
• Accurately document experimental data and results while ensuring compliance with laboratory quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Contribute to the development and validation of new analytical methods under supervision.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support efficient laboratory operations and meet project deadlines.

Additional tasks:

• General laboratory upkeep and organization.
• Preparation of media reagents and solutions.
• Autoclaving and sterilization of laboratory materials.
• Managing and organizing laboratory inventory and material.
• Safe waste handling and disposal.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
• Strong interest and hands-on in analytical methods particularly chromatography and mass spectrometry.
• High level of accuracy attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and eagerness to develop new skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
