Job Title: Athletics Office Assistant (Part-Time)
Reporting Relationship: Office Manager/Assistant to the Director of Athletics
Unit: IWU - Marion
Department: Intercollegiate Athletics
Campus Location: Recreation & Wellness Center - Marion IN
Summary of Position: To assist the Office Manager and other Athletic Administrative staff in the daily operation of the Athletics office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer Athletics Department phone
- Manage day to day office functions
- Office supply ordering and inventory tracking
- Organize and maintain office files (physical and digital)
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager
- Take minutes for all departmental meetings as needed
- Help set up for all departmental meetings as needed
- Run errands throughout campus as needed
Qualifications:According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement. |
Education - High school diploma
- Associates degree or higher preferred
Experience - Experience in customer service preferably within higher education
- Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 (specifically Outlook Teams & SharePoint)
Required Skills - Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable responsible and punctual
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information
- Professional and courteous phone etiquette
- Friendly approachable and customer serviceoriented attitude
