Job Summary

Great Plains Communications is looking for a professional and experienced Carrier Access Planner to join our growing team.

Duties include:

Manages daily off-net bids for sales opportunities including identifying carriers located in the area negotiating with carriers for competitive pricing ensuring response times are communicated and met and providing quote back to sales within the system.

Builds efficiencies systematically to improve response times from the carrier.

Identifies improvements in own processes in identifying carriers sending requests out to those carriers and entering the responses back into the tracking systems.

Identifies areas where GPC does not have coverage or a competitive partner to serve our customer and research potential new partners in that area.

Develop relationships with partners to be mutually beneficial and responsive to GPC needs.

Tracks and understands the partner relationships that are in place and may work with legal counsel to negotiate new Master Service Agreements (MSA) or Service Level Agreements (SLA) as business develops.

Creates and maintains reports to show history and trends of partner response times and pricing to evaluate performance to be used as discussion points in conferences and/or regular report cards.

Takes ownership in requesting and/or creating ad-hoc reports used for budget forecasting carrier evaluation pricing development process workflow or any other report requested by the leadership team.

Conducts informal reviews with carriers to help improve relationships identify overall needs that arent being met or to quantify and thank those doing well.

Supports the review of carrier invoices to ensure accuracy as new services are ordered and disconnects are processed.

Research early termination liability for services being disconnected.

Supports product team with market research and analysis as requested.

Prepares service orders to be signed and ensures accuracy.

Assists in mapping new product pricing to be uploaded.

For CO applicants the salary range is $85k - 100k depending on experience level.

Undergraduate college or university degree or equivalent work experience along with 2 years of telecommunications carrier relations and business development with demonstrated success.
