Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking CDL A Laborer to join our railroad derailment response team. This position involves operating CDL-required vehicles and performing manual labor in emergency response situations primarily for train derailments. Candidates must be safety-focused flexible and capable of working in physically demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate CDL Class A vehicles including roll-offs dump trucks and tractor-trailers.
Respond to railroad derailments and environmental emergencies as part of a specialized cleanup crew.
Assist in the removal of railcars debris and hazardous/non-hazardous materials.
Work with heavy equipment operators to rig and secure railcars or freight for recovery.
Use hand tools power tools and industrial equipment to perform site cleanup.
Follow all safety protocols environmental regulations and company procedures.
Complete accurate documentation and daily work reports.
Participate in safety briefings equipment inspections and pre-trip vehicle checks.
Travel regionally as needed with extended stays on location during large derailments.
Maintain equipment and vehicles in clean and working condition.

Qualifications:

Valid CDL Class A License (with clean driving record).
Tanker endorsement preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience required.
Prior experience in railroad environmental construction or industrial labor preferred.
Ability to work in extreme conditions (hot/cold weather rough terrain confined spaces).
Capable of lifting 50lbs and performing strenuous physical tasks.
Must be willing to work on-call including nights weekends and holidays.
Must pass pre-employment drug test background check and DOT physical.
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred (or willingness to complete).
