Position:Housing Disrepair Solicitor
Location:Manchester (Hybrid)

Our client is a forward-thinking litigation firm based in Manchester specialising in Housing Disrepair Civil Litigation and Consumer Rights.
They are passionate about achieving justice for tenants and ensuring landlords meet their obligations.
With a growing caseload and strong reputation they are looking to expand their team with a skilled and motivatedHousing Disrepair Solicitor.
Role Overview
You will manage a litigated caseload of Housing Disrepair claims working with a dedicated support team.
The role requires strong litigation experience drafting skills and the ability to handle cases from instruction through to settlement or trial.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload ofHousing Disrepair (HDR) claims from pre-litigation to trial.
- Drafting and reviewing pleadings witness statements instructions to counsel and other legal documents.
- Conducting legal research and staying up to date with housing law developments.
- Negotiating settlements and advising clients on case prospects and outcomes.
- Attending hearings and case management conferences when required.
- Working collaboratively with fee earners paralegals and support staff.
- Delivering excellent client care ensuring clear communication and empathetic support throughout the claim process.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (38 PQE preferred though strong applicants outside this range considered).
- Provenlitigation experiencein Housing Disrepair.
- Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation advocacy and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy target-driven environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
