Job Summary
Job Title: Pediatric Emergency Department RN Night Shift
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend and some holidays
Pay Rate:
Travel: $2621.50/week
Local: $1973.40/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Pediatric Emergency Department RNfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse NY.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care and nursing assessments in a pediatric ED.
Perform triage using formal pediatric triage protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for high-quality care.
Document care using EPIC EMR.
Manage care from triage through stabilization and transfer/discharge.
Follow emergency protocols for trauma and critical care situations.
Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Current NY RN License in good standing
BLS certification
TNCC or TCRN certification
Minimum 2 years recent pediatric ED experience
Strong pediatric triage experience (1 year)
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Experience in Level 1 trauma hospitals preferred
Key Skills:
Excellent assessment and critical thinking in pediatric acute care
Ability to handle high-stress high-volume environments
Clear communication with patients families and teams
Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice
