Position Summary

The Community Engagement Manager reporting to the Director of Professional & Community Development serves as the primary liaison between IFS Institute and its community spaces. This position holds a critical role in advancing the organizations internal and external communications with particular emphasis on engagement with professional communities and social media groups. Additionally the Community Engagement Managerprovides support to IFSI UK and partners with the International Director to facilitate clear consistent and effective communications across the global IFS community.


IFSI is managed as a distributed team that uses technology and regular in-person gatherings to stay connected. We are seeking someone who is comfortable with and skilled at remote work leadership and collaboration. We have two base locations Chicago and Toronto. This is a remote opportunity.


Key Responsibilities


The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional interpersonal skills strong leadership abilities and meticulous attention to detail. This position manages a Coordinator and plays a central role in the development and execution of diverse communications initiatives.


Provide leadership for direct reports establishing shared objectives alignment and a
collaborative mindset.
Foster open dialogue and cross-functional collaboration within the team and across
departments.
Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of digital communities and
social media groups.
Internal Communications: Develop messaging frameworks templates and processes
to support organizational clarity such as admissions updates process changes andevent announcements.
External Communications: Lead the creation and distribution of newsletters outreach
emails campaign messaging onboarding materials and FAQs.
Project Management: Serve as the lead for implementing audit recommendations
related to public-facing communications and digital engagement points.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is consistent inclusive
and appropriate audience.
Establish and manage systems to collect document and respond to feedback from
the community.
Partner with the Professional & Community Development department to develop
messaging press releases contributed articles event strategies and media relations
strategies for various campaigns.
Perform other duties as assigned.


Role Requirements
5 to 7 years of experience in related field
Bachelors degree
Highly organized strong communicator and DEI advocate
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Prior experience in social media or online community management
Ability to make critical decisions that can impact the success of the team and the
organization
Provides clear guidance to your team setting goals and objectives and defining the
paths to success
Ability to prioritize problem-solve and meet deadlines
Knowledge of MS Office products (Word Excel Outlook)
Independently manage projects from start to finish
