EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience for a maximum of four years.

• The PE (Relief) Supervisor position requires supervising inmate workers and monitoring performance and quality of products produced ensuring safety resolving issues and maintaining compliance with regulations.

• Work for (support):Prison Enterprises is an ancillary Enterprise Fund operating entirely on a self-generated revenue with a staff of approximately 68 operating over 30 individual cost centers at 7 correctional facilities across this State along with a Headquarters location in Baton Rouge. This position is vital in our ability to accurately and timely deliver PEs finished goods and agricultural commodities statewide.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: PROBATION or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE

• Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
• An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
• This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment should a permanent position become available the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.

Compensation:The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make at each level over their career andNOTthe amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
