This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to directly influence the financial strategy for AWSs global data center expansion. This role will partner with senior leadership to drive financial strategy operational excellence and optimize strategic capacity plans.
Key job responsibilities Lead strategic financial planning and analysis for complex business initiatives Develop and implement financial strategies that support long-term business growth Build and manage relationships with senior business partners Provide financial oversight and guidance for major business decisions Drive process improvements and automation initiatives Establish and maintain robust financial controls and reporting mechanisms
About the team Our Global Data Center Planning and Delivery (DCPD) Finance team supports the development of new data centers for Amazon Web Services (AWS). - 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance) experience
- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience - MBA or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
