Job Summary

TITLE:School Nurse QUALIFICATIONS:Holds a license as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (M.G.L. c. 71 s. 53)Holds or is eligible for licensure in School Nursing by the Massachusetts Department of a minimum of a bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited college or university (after 1993 DOE regulation change).Has a minimum of two years of supervised nursing experience in community health or child health prior to entry in school nursing certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation AED and First preparation and/or experience may be substituted for number : To provide professional health srvices and coordinate the resources of the school home and community as they pertain to the toal health of students and MISSION:Methuen Public Schools enrolls approximately 7000 in a total of five schools. Methuen Public Schools has four PK-8 schools: the Comprehensive Grammar School the Marsh Grammar School the Tenney Grammar School the Timony Grammar School and one comprehensive high school: Methuen High School.
