Job Summary

Examines and treats patients independently and functions in collaboration under the direct and indirect supervision of a physician. Exercises independent judgment in the assessment diagnosis treatment and recovery of patients in the practice setting. Complies patient medical data including health history and results of physical examinations.

Essential Functions

Responsible for taking detailed medical histories and performing complete physical exams.
Provides diagnoses and recommends treatment plan.
Provides treatment counseling and education to patients regarding medical conditions illnesses and injuries.
Orders performs and interprets diagnostic studies.
Prescribes appropriate medications and physical therapy.
Completes all required documentation in chart necessary for patient care plan and billing.
Discuss and formulate proper and personalized health care plans for patients in consultation with the supervising physician.

Qualifications

Required Masters Degree or equivalent Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a masters post-masters or doctorate degree from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission

2 years of relevant experience Current Clinical Experience Required

1 year of relevant experience Experience as a Nurse Practitioner Preferred

Experience in Oncology and/or Infusion services Preferred

LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 60 Days required Or

CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 60 Days required

CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days preferred
