Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a trust and estate boutique law firm seeking a dedicated Associate this role you will primarily manage probate and trust administration cases along with some estate planning matters and litigation related to probate and trust administration.
As an Associate Attorney you will work closely with a Senior Associate Attorney and a Partner Attorney allowing you to gain invaluable experience and mentorship. Over time you will gradually take on the primary responsibility for managing cases independently. Our firm emphasizes a team-oriented approach ensuring that multiple individuals are involved in each case while you serve as the primary attorney responsible for many of them. Additionally once you are fully trained you will have the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses based on your contributions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Independently manage probate and trust administration cases
Work with Senior Associate Attorney on complex probate and trust litigation cases
Conduct legal research and analysis
Provide legal advice to clients
Represent clients in court proceedings
Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel
Advise clients on the merits of their cases
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
Exceptional legal writing drafting and advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with clients colleagues and court personnel
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong attention to detail organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
Proactive self-motivated and eager to take initiative
Willingness to learn and adapt to firm policies procedures and specialized practice areas
