We are looking for an experienced Java software engineer with a broad technical expertise to join our Platform team developing an award-winning REST API for the Unified Communications service and specializing in how applications (mobile desktop browser) interact with this service.
This role requires on-site presence at our office 4 days a week to support effective collaboration and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Participate in implementation and support of highly available backend infrastructure and services;
Interact with architects product owners and business stakeholders on converting high-level functional requirements into actionable low-level design and implementation tasks;
Support the created product throughout the entire release cycle;
Work in an Agile team participate in improving development processes and improving the effectiveness of teamwork.
Qualifications & Skills:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent;
5 years of back-end development experience;
Good Java programming skills;
Experience with Java technologies and frameworks (e.g. Spring Spring Boot Jetty etc.);
Experience with SQL;
Good spoken and written communication skills in English;
Understanding of Agile processes and tools.
Will be a plus:
Experience in designing and implementing complex high volume highly available globally distributed applications;
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB InMemory Grids (GridGain Coherence) etc.;
Hands-on experience with messaging systems (Apache Kafka RabbitMQ);
Proficiency in Linux operating systems (CLI shell scripting);
Experience with public cloud (AWS GCP).
