Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Columbus Ohio
Our client is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their team. Our client is one of the largest privately held manufacturers of adhesives and sealants in the United States. Their Construction Building Products division provides the Titebond brand of glues adhesives and sealants for use in woodworking and all facets of residential and commercial construction.
The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance on different machines including packaging machines and mixers as well as facility maintenance including HVAC and plumbing.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED required additional education/certifications preferred.
- Must be available for possible mandatory overtime and weekend work.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check drug screen and physical.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in the following areas and be able to take a test demonstrating proficiency:
- Arc welding
- Mig welding
- Tig welding
- Stick Welding
- PLCs
- Electric
- VFDs
- HVAC
- Pumps (air diaphragm centrifugal positive displacement lobe gear)
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Gearboxes
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Maintains and repairs all mechanical facilities and physical structures throughout the plant including pumps boilers air water reactor.
- Uses hand and power tools in performing tasks.
- Diagnoses problems tears down repairs and re-assembles intricate mechanisms and machines.
- Installs adjusts tests troubleshoots repairs and modifies various electrical/mechanical equipment electrical controls PLCs and instrumentation.
- Performs repairs on buildings roofs structures and furniture.
- Assists technicians and performs other duties as assigned.
