The working environment you can expect:
This position is based in Nome Alaska with our Northern Region Wester District - Construction team. If you like variety this role has it all. Some days youll be at your desk using computers and project tools to track progress document findings and collaborate with the team. Other days youll be out in the field inspecting sites operating equipment and seeing firsthand how your work improves Alaskas infrastructure.

in the engineering and transportation world WAQTC stands for the Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction. This is a cooperative organization made up of several western state DOTs (including Alaska DOT&PF) and other agencies. WAQTC develops standardized training testing procedures and certifications for construction materials sampling and testing (things like soils asphalt aggregates and concrete).
The incumbent must obtain the required WAQTC certification in order to qualify as a WAQTC trainer.
