DevOps Engineer- Medtech

The role:

This role is pivotal to our strategy of collaborating with others to deliver state-of-the-art health tech solutions and enabling secure connections to the wider health ecosystem. Central to this role is ALEX (Application Layer EXchange) Medtechs FHIR-based interoperability platform which enables third-party applications to integrate with Medtechs PMS software. This is a world-first and an example of the type of innovation were leading for the health tech sector.

What youll do every day

• Take the lead on Azure infrastructure design deployment and environment management
• Provide insight in the design phase and user acceptance testing for product enhancements new launches and new functionality projects
• Creation and management of CI/CD pipelines and automation where appropriate
• Robust monitoring of alerts and taking proactive measures to ensure ongoing system health
• Collaborate with the wider Integrations team to identify suitable opportunities for process improvements and platform enhancements
• Work as an escalation point in incident response and operational support including troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Heres what youll bring

• 4 years as a DevOps engineer or similar role in the IT industry
• Hands-on experience with managing Azure environments
• Experience with designing Azure infrastructure in line with Azure Well Architected Framework
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep Terraform)
• Experience in administering container orchestration platforms such as AKS including troubleshooting scaling and monitoring
• Some background with CI/CD pipeline design automation and maintenance
• Practical experience with monitoring logging and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor Application Insights and Prometheus
• Incident response capabilities including setting up automation/alerts for proacting monitoring of system health and metrics
• A desire to learn and a passion for healthcare would be hugely advantageous!
