Heart Failure Team, Lead NPPA

Are you a NP or PA that wants to take the next step in their career ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a Lead Advance Practice Clinician for our Advanced Heart Failure Program. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and administrative oversight for our team of APCs across multiple sites including Christiana and Wilmington. The Lead APC will provide 75% clinical care and 25% administrative oversight.

With more than 2000 primary heart failure discharges per year you will have every opportunity to make a significant impact on the outcomes of our heart failure population. The NP/PA will also be required to maintain on-call coverage in a rotating call schedule with the other 3 APCs for the LVAD program (must be within a 45 minute response time of the hospital while on call). Generous compensation for on-call coverage is provided.

As home to the only Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) program in Delaware you will be part of the care team for this unique patient population from initial evaluation through post-op management making a true difference in improving the lives of those we serve.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Masters Degree in Nursing (nurse practitioner) or Masters Degree in Physician Assistant studies
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification required
• At least 3 years of clinical experience as an NP or PA preferably in cardiology or advanced heart failure
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• ACLS required
• Licensure or license eligible in the state of Delaware
