Job Summary
Clinical Pharmacist PRN

Work location:Texas Health Medical Support 1100 Bridgewood Street TX 76112
Work hours:PRN (As Needed) 0-16 hours weekly.
This position would be a part of our home infusion pharmacy team and would primarily work in the pharmacy warehouse area coordinating packing and shipping of patients deliveries and supervising pharmacy technicians in their duties
Education
Bachelors Degree Pharmacy Required Or
Other Pharm.D. Required And
Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
Experience
None required and
- 3 Years hospital experience or residency Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
PHAR - Pharmacist Upon Hire Required
What You Will Do
- Communicating effectively building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
- Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
- Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
- Ensuring the accuracy of ones own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the departments quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
- Ongoing professional development and growth.
- Not only the management of ones own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
- Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
- Other duties as assigned.
