Job Summary
Overview
Our internship program gives students real-world hands-on exposure to heavy highway construction. Interns work primarily in the field setting grade operating equipment and laboring alongside crews while interacting closely with experienced employees foremen and superintendents.
Key Features
- Designed for students who are typically in their junior year of college (Civil/Construction Engineering preferred).
- Flexible schedules typically during the summer (MarchOctober)
- Paid hourly based on experience.
- Recruiting takes place in the fall and spring.
- Travel to work on project sites across Northwest Montana
Responsibilities
- Support crews with grading equipment and labor tasks.
- Assist with layout surveying and production tracking.
- Contribute to safety and quality programs.
- Develop your technical construction and interpersonal skills
Exposure Opportunities
- Roadway & subdivision infrastructure earthwork paving crushing aggregate & concrete production and high-profile projects (e.g. high-end golf course community)
