Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services typically does not require Engineering degree
    - Responsible for design and construction of test facilities test rigs instrumentation systems and the development of test software
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
  • Metallography experience in sample preparation of aerospace materials.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
