Job Summary
Want to work with the best and brightest in a company that tackles challenges that have never been done before Emerson is looking for a Quality Engineering Co-op for Summer/Fall 2026 to join our Sherman TX team. We are looking for someone who is interested in gaining real-world experience in a dynamic collaborative environment.
Youwill assist with many different aspects of the Quality department as a whole which will include working closely with the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer on special collaborate with different departments in addition to your own. Your responsibilities will combine individual tasks as well as collaborative work orgroupprojects. You will work with special projects which will include the development of standardizing CMM reporting the documentation and improvement of inspection processes working to develop fixturing for gaging and Calibration Lab use and other projects as needed.
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Work with Quality/Assembly/Engineering on daily tasks to include but not limited to: writing work instructions quality alerts change requests tooling/fixture drawings and other documentation as required.
- Update shop floor layouts and perform time studies.
- Document current and future state workflow and potential process improvements.
- Participate in kaizen events to eliminate waste and improve processes and assist with lean initiatives.
- Attend department team and project meetings as necessary
- Collaborate with other engineers teams and departmentsto develop and implement solutions to safety quality and production challenges.

You try different solutions for problems and learn from the results. You drill down to root causes to gather relevant information. You get out of your comfort zone and volunteer for assignments that represent a new challenge.
For This Role You Will Need:
- Undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
- Strong oral and written communication skills analytical and decision-making skills and PC skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience working in a team environment
- Safety conscious
- Self-motivated and disciplined with a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Commitment to full-time (40 hour) Summer/Fall Co-op experiencein Sherman TX from May 2026 through December 2026.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- College status of a junior or senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Technology or Industrial Engineering
- Direct experience with AutoCAD and the development of drawings
- Six months generalized work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- General Lean Manufacturing knowledge is preferred
