License to practice medicine or eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Training Program.
Candidate must be Internal Medicine board eligible (preferably board certified).
Responsibilities:
Utilize visionary and innovative leadership to propel the Department into its next phase of growth and developmentaiming to achieve exceptional clinical and academic programs. Foster close collaboration with UAMS leadership to establish expand and integrate areas of recognized clinical excellence delivering outstanding outcomes and enhancing patient satisfaction.
Expand clinical programs to ensure accessible care and alleviate patient backlog.
Ensure the delivery of exemplary clinical education and advanced training for medical students and residents. Collaborate with the Dean to shape and lead the Departments strategy.
Supervise prepare implement and monitor the Departments budget encompassing all funding sources while ensuring compliance with grant legislative and institutional guidelines.
Attract develop and retain exceptional faculty and staff to support Department initiatives.
Foster a supportive and developmental environment for all contributors while establishing succession plans for individual faculty and strategic personnel planning for the Department.

This position is a Designated Research Position and is regulated by the Arkansas Research Education Protection Act of 2025.
