Gifted Healthcare Staff Accountant (Contractor)
The Gifted Healthcare Staff Accountant - Contractor is responsible for assisting with the preparation of account reconciliations and payroll tax filings. The successful candidate will have prior experience with payroll taxes W2 production and the other expectations associated with this role.
Position Location: Hybrid - 3 days in the Metairie LA office
Primary Expectations and Objectives of the Staff Accountant:
- Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers journals and logs
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annually required payroll and property tax filings for multiple states
- Reconciliation production of all W2s and annual payroll reports (940 and SSA upload)
Position Requirements:
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently with good problem-solving skills
- QuickBooks knowledge a plus but not required
- Strong knoweldge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles with the ability to apply them in day-to-day accounting tasks
- Ability to work independently with accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical organizational and oral and written communication skills
